The University of Salford celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017 but we can trace our origins back to the industrial revolution. Today the university has a global presence and our seven schools, 20,000 students and 2,500 staff have all grown to serve the needs of industry, commerce and education. We have a proud tradition of applied research working in collaboration with
industry to solve real-world problems.
In 2017, we opened our new £3m state-of-the-art teaching laboratories within the School of Environment and Life Sciences, which offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry courses. This investment is part our ongoing campus development plan which has seen the development of our MediaCityUK campus and a suite of new facilities and buildings across the campus.
