OCCA Weekly Webinars Series 14 begins with "Digital Twins Aligning Colour & Appearance Communication" presented by Darryl Gregory of X-Rite. The webinar will take place via Zoom on Wednesday 25 September at 2:30pm.
Abstract:
Navigating the complexities of achieving aesthetic harmony and high production quality for painted finished goods can be a daunting task. Designers often grapple with uncertainty surrounding how the colour choices will translate in appearance of final product, while polymer producers strive to meet sometimes ambiguous specifications on appearance and functionality, and paint producers must navigate not only around colour but also appearance & performance on specific substrates. These challenges often result in prolonged time to market, numerous iterations, and increased waste.
X-Rite unveils a game-changing solution: leveraging digital materials twins based on real colours and surface appearances. By harnessing the power of these digital replicas, we demonstrate how you can streamline your product launches and pave the way for successful outcomes. No matter if you are working with effect pigments, transparent paints, complex geometries or material mixes, X-Rite’s colour management and appearance solutions offer an innovative approach that accelerates the product development process, reduces iteration cycles, minimizes waste, and ultimately ensures the realization of your vision with precision and efficiency.
